I got sent this book last week:

Doughnuts: A classic treat reinvented by Rosie Reynolds, published by Ebury Press
Images: William Reavell
Yum, huh? Even more brilliant as it is written by my friend Rosie, or as I know her, ‘Our Rose.’
With sixty recipes to celebrate the humble doughnut (including pizza versions and an English Ploughmans), they’re apparently ‘super easy’ to make yourself.
Our Rose says she was really surprised by how versatile the fried dough can be. Let’s ignore the calories, shall we?

Salted Caramel. Oh yes. Hello lover (hello 9-million calories)

Born and bred in Birkenhead like me, Rosie says her first memories of doughnuts were ‘piping hot, sugar-rolled rings eaten on New Brighton beach’ which makes me feel very sentimental and a bit homesick!
Trained by Leiths School of Food and Wine, she secured a job working for BBC Good Food and Olive magazines but has since worked on TV programmes, including BBC’s One Show, and for supermarkets, such as Waitrose. She is also part of chef Bill Granger’s food team, working as a food stylist and recipe developer for his book range, magazine columns and features.
If you fancy getting your hands on a copy, check them out here.
Your bum might not thank you, but your tummy will.
